Thomas Del Mar Ltd is a new independent company which sells Arms, Armour and Militaria on a biannual basis with sales entitled "Thomas Del Mar Ltd in association with Sotheby's".

Thomas is a former Deputy Director and Worldwide Head of Department at Sotheby's.  He left in November 2005 after eleven years service culminating in the Hanover sale and continues to act as a Consultant to Sotheby's on valuations and sales of major collections. Thomas is joined in this new venture by his colleagues Ian Eaves, former Keeper of Armour at the Tower of London.

2005 has seen some spectacular results in the field, most notably with Sotheby's sale of Works of Art from the Royal House of Hanover in October. We were delighted with the result of the Arms, Armour and Militaria selling for £4,764,004 ($8,392,610)  which now stands as a World Auction Record for an ancestral collection in this field.
